ServiceNow ITOM SME / CMDB Lead.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM SME / CMDB Lead to drive CMDB strategy, governance, data quality, service mapping, and ITOM transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead CMDB maturity efforts, establish governance standards, and align CMDB with business services to support operational excellence and AIOps adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute CMDB maturity and governance roadmap.
- Lead CMDB strategy, data quality, service mapping, and reconciliation processes.
- Act as the primary architect for ServiceNow CSDM implementation.
- Establish CI lifecycle governance, naming standards, and data ownership models.
- Drive CMDB health improvements, certification processes, and KPI reporting.
- Manage stakeholders across Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Operations teams.
- Define event management strategies, alert correlation, and noise reduction initiatives.
- Support Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities and CMDB governance reviews.
- Oversee integrations with monitoring and discovery tools such as SolarWinds and Dynatrace.
- Review discovery patterns, scripts, update sets, and technical deliverables.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- ServiceNow CMDB.
- Discovery.
- Service Mapping.
- Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
- Deep understanding of:
- Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- CI Classification & Reconciliation.
- ITIL Processes.
- Configuration Management.
- Change & Incident Management.
- ServiceNow scripting experience:
- GlideScript.
- Business Rules.
- Script Includes.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in enterprise, multi-instance ServiceNow environments.
Preferred Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Mapping (CIS-SM).
